Message from Dragon Watch Mayor NANOC

Welcome to Dragons Watch

Dragons Watch, Felucca is located on the Chesapeake shard, North of Minoc on a peninsula. (138 26N 129 26E)
The Army of the Dragon guild (ATD) where the origional founders of the town which started on the Island town of Occlo. (circa 1998) John McBain the founder of ATD along with Cloud Barret and KingID moved to the present location after houses by members of the guild where placed there when Occlo became too crowded.
You could always find the members of ATD and others sitting at the Occlo Bank.

Dragons Watch became a part of PaxLair on Aug. 19, 2004.
The Citizens of Historic Dragons Watch guild (DWxC) was founded by John McBain and Benris as the government for the city. (circa 2006) NANOC became an Alderman of DWxC in June of 2006 and was promoted to Viceroy by Mayor Winfield after Benris left the realm.

Today the town is thriving with a new GM for ATD, Crypt Keeper. Houses being built by guild members and changes in housing already placed.

Message from the ATD Guild Master

Welcome to the ATD and Dragons Watch website. I hope that as ATD steps into this new era we can provide the players of Ultima Online many great adventures and memories to last another 10 years. My goal as new guild master of ATD is to uphold the guilds honor and tradition while at the same time offer the knowledge and experience I have gained in my eight years of UO as a player and a guild master so that we as a guild can grow for the future and provide a new generation of ATDmembers goals and a reason to belong. After all, that’s what a guild is all about, belonging to a family and that’s what ATD is.

We do not mass recruit and we do not just let anyone into our guild, ATD is a highly trained elite group of people set up to defend not only town of Dragons Watch and the Paxlair Statehood but all those who are worthy of our cause. If you are selected to be a part of ATD know that you are becoming a part of Chesapeake history and you are becoming someone much, much, more than just a player in a game.

So, I challenge you. Do you have what it takes to become one with the Dragon, if so then pick up your sword and gather your reg’s. You have been called upon and you do not stand alone. We are here, we are waiting. Your next great adventure is just a click away. Welcome to The Army of the Dragon, welcome to your destiny.

Strength and Honor!

EM Event: Fishing Hosted by EM Vladimere

as reported by Merik Onn

6/12/09 Counselor's Guild in Britain

Tonight the citizens of Chesapeake again set sail in search of the big fish for this week. A good turn out for EM Vladimere as he was getting the attention of fishermen around Luna bank today and late last night. Perhaps next time he will also find more fishermen in the lovely city of New Haven. The seas in some parts of the world were brutal like Fel and Tokuno while other parts in Trammel and Illish were calm but, it did not matter. The fierce and unafraid fishermen and ladies set sail to claim their prize. A big fish which would be mounted in the rewards hall with their name written below it!

The contestants arrived back at the hall between 10 and 10:15pm est. Some had great luck but no one was able to match the luck of the lucky winner LAMETH From DWxC!

Lameth brought in the biggest catch at 162lbs! beating last weeks record fish that came in at 161lbs! Congrats to Lameth once again on getting that fish on the boat without sinking.

Fishing Event Results:

Niva The Savage T_T (Deck hand)
Slick Willy ($CS$) 99lbs
Sushi (DWxC) 144lbs
Gareth (RBG) 3lbs, 22lbs, 125lbs
Fish N Chips (DWxC)
Loopy (FTH) 44lbs
Fiona (DWxC)
Knut Boolt (DWxC)
Tatanka
Periwinkle (DWxC)
James Von Krieg (DWxC)
Lameth (DWxC) 162lbs

Pearl Watch
(Was not part of competition but worth mention)

Slick Willy 1
Sushi 7
Loopy 2
Gareth 2

The crowed joked around for awhile and I hope we do not lose our Em Vladimere to the Savages!!!

Dungeon Crawl for skill gain.
Dragons WatchAs told by NANOC, Mayor of DragonsWatch

Some of our members got together and we did a dungeon crawl in Shame last night.
Purpose was to help each other with skill gains, but mostley get together and have a little fun.
Fiona found a black horse she didnt remember she had and brought it. Knut Boolt brought along his newly tamed polar bear, the bear lasted a fairly long time before the elementals bested it.

MONTAR hacked and slashed his way with his Luna Lance. Seagrams Seven used his wicked bardich and Malia used her black magic and another black horse to even the score.
Lord Darkfire, used his black arts skills to his advantage casting EV's, that desimated the the elementals for the fertile dirt he seeked.
Oh and Lady Elaina led us thru all the dark areas, a fine Lady and she didnt mess a hair on her newly quaffed do. (Phoenix had to stay behind and tend to Lady Elaina's affairs.)

After the crawl we gathered outside to talk about the adventure and congradulate each other.

Old tower gets new tenants
Dragons Watch

Lameth, first cousin of Se'an Silverfoot recently moved into DragonsWatch proper. Lameth has always managed a home for Lord Silverfoot, he brings with him some fine craftsmen.

Renovations are being done quickly with the anticipated arrival of Lord Silverfoot. Lameth's task was no easy matter. He had to arrange the move of the whole household from PaxOku City to the wilds of DragonsWatch. He had worried a bit about this wilderness, but the letter he recieved from his Lord directing this move left little room for argument. Indeed his master felt it actually safer to be amongst friends and guildmates than be in the ever changing PaxOku

DWxC Crafters Night In New Haven 6/3/09

as written by Merik Onn

DWxC Crafters Night in Haven went over well as groups from Raze, CKS, RBG and DmG people gathered round for some free repairs.

Leading the crafters was Lord Cervantes. Another crafter there from DWxC was Kenndrix. Providing gates from Luna all night was James Kreig. Mayor Nanoc and Lady Phoenix were giving directions on who could repair for the traveling adventurers.

A good community turn out in deed tonight for the Wednesday Crafters Night held by DWxC from 8pm to 10pm EST in New Haven

Salem (DWxC) Wins Angling Tourney!
Fishing tournementsAs Reported by Chesapeake Reporter Morpheous Mardox

Last eve's fishing tournament sponsored by the Fishermans Guild of Trisnic was a grand success as nine competitors set out on the high seas in search of the big one! Fishing lasted from roughly 7pm to midnight with much excitement along the way. Ship Captains recorded an overall weight caught of over two thousand stones with the nights top two catches hauled in by the same lucky sailor! A whopping bohemoth of 197 stones took the nights top honors along with 147 stones in second both caught by Dragon's Watch's own Salem. Finishing in third also of Dragon's Watch was Sushi with a fine catch of 144 stones! Congratulations to our angling champion who has had a commemorative plaque bearing his name and catch along with the monster itself displayed for all to see outside the cities fishers guild!

Arriving sometime after the tourney began I was able to speak with Santiago the nights host as he made rounds visiting ships at sea. Tales of big ones that got away were aplenty as I eventually made it onboard with two competitors! Graciously offering free footwear was Lord Gareth whom I was able to sail with as he caught what could of been the nights lightest catch at 17 stones!

Reports began to arrive from other ships that foul creatures from the abyss had attacked. Diabolical Seaweed had risen from the depths to engage several vessels. If that wasnt strange enough, some where even the target of an evil ghost crew of pirates attempting to board several ships! Hopefully those on board can share any pics in this articles discussion!

The nights fishing was fast and furious throughout the event with many great trophies pulled from the sea. My ride was so much in a hurry he almost left me behind!

Competitors gathered inside the fishers guild to discuss the night's adventure and offer congratulations after the event.

And of course with any great night of community events nothing beats a cold ale amongst friends as EM Dudley welcomed everyone back to the Counselor's Hall in West Brit for a bit of celebration thereafter! Another fine event by our new lead EM in Dudley as we all gave thanks for his valient efforts! Join us all for the next EM sponsored event this weekend with information on this and future events found here: http://www.chessy-events.com/

Heart and Soul Festival announced!
ChesapeakeAs reported by Tancred RedStar
Lord Casca appeared in the throne room of Castle Britannia Saturday evening to issue a proclamation to the people of the realm.

To commemorate the tireless and valiant efforts of those defending the realm, but also as an opportunity for the people of the realm to come together in celebration, the Heart and Soul Festival will be held in two weeks time, on Saturday February 14th 2009(Earth date).

He named EM Tailspin as the festival coordinator who shortly greeted people at the Britain Counselor's Hall along with EM Dudley and EM Faine Morgan.

EM Tailspin went over the guidelines for the event, namely that it would be a community effort and placed a book for all the read about the details on the bar counter in the Britain Counselor's Hall(book is still there for all to see).

It reads as such:

Complete details are available at the site mentioned:
Heart And Soul

There are many timeslots available throughout the afternoon and into the evening on the festival date. Chesapeake has some of the most exciting and creative player events to be found anywhere. This is a real opportunity to demonstrate that as well as introduce fellow citizens who have yet to experience these sorts of things.
