Message from Dragon Watch Mayor NANOC

Welcome to Dragons Watch

Dragons Watch, Felucca is located on the Chesapeake shard, North of Minoc on a peninsula. (138 26N 129 26E)
The Army of the Dragon guild (ATD) where the origional founders of the town which started on the Island town of Occlo. (circa 1998) John McBain the founder of ATD along with Cloud Barret and KingID moved to the present location after houses by members of the guild where placed there when Occlo became too crowded.
You could always find the members of ATD and others sitting at the Occlo Bank.

Dragons Watch became a part of PaxLair on Aug. 19, 2004.
The Citizens of Historic Dragons Watch guild (DWxC) was founded by John McBain and Benris as the government for the city. (circa 2006) NANOC became an Alderman of DWxC in June of 2006 and was promoted to Viceroy by Mayor Winfield after Benris left the realm.

Today the town is thriving with a new GM for ATD, Crypt Keeper. Houses being built by guild members and changes in housing already placed.

Message from the ATD Guild Master

Welcome to the ATD and Dragons Watch website. I hope that as ATD steps into this new era we can provide the players of Ultima Online many great adventures and memories to last another 10 years. My goal as new guild master of ATD is to uphold the guilds honor and tradition while at the same time offer the knowledge and experience I have gained in my eight years of UO as a player and a guild master so that we as a guild can grow for the future and provide a new generation of ATDmembers goals and a reason to belong. After all, that’s what a guild is all about, belonging to a family and that’s what ATD is.

We do not mass recruit and we do not just let anyone into our guild, ATD is a highly trained elite group of people set up to defend not only town of Dragons Watch and the Paxlair Statehood but all those who are worthy of our cause. If you are selected to be a part of ATD know that you are becoming a part of Chesapeake history and you are becoming someone much, much, more than just a player in a game.

		The Fall of Torchwood

I heard this news while traveling thru the Viallage to PaxOku

Tis a sad day. Recent events have crippled Torchwood's Outpost in Ter Mur.

First with the assassination of an ambassador from Ter Mur. This destroyed relations with the Gargoyle Royal City.

Soon after there was a complete ransacking of the outpost by Brigands.

On both occasions, the Queen and her crown did little to help
.

The investigation of the assassination was handled poorly. Information I gathered and handed to the Queen's lead detective was misplaced. Leads were not followed up on. Thus, we lost any hope of repairing the bond we first formed with Ter Mur and the Queen of the Royal City.

The ransacking of the outpost did far greater damage. Where were the Queen's men? Where was the help in our time of greatest need? Ranger's were sent to inform the Queen of this attack, yet no reinforcements every arrived.

Now the outpost is abandoned and the tavern lays condemned and will "fall" SOON !!

A new tavern has been built in Kijustsu Village with the help of Lord Gareth. Any supplies/items we were able to salvage have been shipped there.

We thought this would be a great new beginning. However, once again, I find a lack of support from our Queen. Von Trinsic attacked the village, where i'm trying to start anew, with a band of orcs, trolls and ogres. Guess what? No defense of our lands from the Queen !! Again, there was no support.

I Gunga Din, hereby renounce the Crown and the rule of Queen Dawn. I find her unfit to lead and protect us. I'm not sure how others feel, but this is my stance. Perhaps I should speak with Von Trinsic.

		Scarlet Von Trinsic Tests Kijustsu Anei Village

All was quiet on the island of Homare-Jima. Shops began to close and people returned to their homes and in some cases their forts. What was thought of as another day ended turned into its beginning. One of the Inhabitants of Kijustsu Anei was setting up the new alert system implemented by the Kijustsu Anei Village Intendant, Luna Rossa. A loud battle cry was heard and as they turned around they gazed upon a army of Orcs, Orge Lords and Ettins marching down the street of Monk's Crossing!!! Many quickly made their way to the strongest building in the village. The Kijustsu Anei Intendant building. Kijustsu Anei Village government must be kicking themselves, for not having that alert system setup in time for such an attack upon their land.

By word of mouth news spread across the land. The creatures attacks came from all over. Savages, Sages, Paladins, Warriors, Knights even drunken Friers answered to the call. The forces took some time to get under control but, they were able to defeat the incoming army of Orcs and more. Once the battle was finished many questions were left. Why have orcs and other creatures attacked the land? Who were they attacking? Were they after Samantha Kent? Were they sent to PaxOku or Village? Did the Savages have some unknown war going on?

Just as everyone began to gather to discuss what was going on a lady appeared before them. Standing on top of the banner she was identified as Scarlet Von Trinsic. People in crowed began to get angry. They quickly figured out that Scarlet was the one behind this invasion. Scarlet jumped down off of the banner to address them all. Niva was not very thrilled as Scarlet made her way towards them.

”Should thank me Savage. I just sent over a clan of your enemies to their death...A mere test. ”

Mirt responded, ”Why do we not just throw her in jail? ”

”Jail!? That’s rich. I’ve not an evil bone in my body. It’s about opportunity. Funny ya know. A horde of orcs besieges thy town And where is the Queen’s army?” You could tell those around started to wonder. “Noooowheree…….. Perched up in her castle drinking Winfield’s wine likely. Dreadful stuff by the way. Swiped a few bottles from the courier and let me tell ya. I’ve had swamp water with a better taste. Well, no matter. Guess ya just have to watch out for yourself these days. ”

The crowd began to chatter amongst themselves. Has the Queen abandoned them? Do they no longer have the protection they require? Few moments later Gareth asked… “Would you be able to provide any protection? ”

”Ahhh Now we’re talkin’ Everything has a price."

Niva in a strong tone had a question of her own. “What human Red have offer Village? ”

“And no amount of gold will satisfy my thirst. Oh I’ll see your village is safe alright But it will cost you. All about the intangibles my dear. I ask when the time is right to answer my call. I do say though… Caveat Emptor….”

As everyone once again began to talk amongst themselves. Many in attendance yelled that they were making a deal with the devil but, how could one devil resist another devils offer? A voice informed Von Trinsic that they would need to inform the Intendant who is the leader of their village.

”Discuss it amongst your peoples. When I return next, I expect your response. Ta ta for now gents!"

Scarlet Von Trinsic quickly vanished. The words of Scarlet Von Trinsic would weigh heavily on their minds tonight. Some did not know what Caveat Emptor meant. Caveat Emptor - buyer beware without a warranty the buyer takes the risk. Is the Kijustsu Anei community intrigued with this offer? We shall see.

Tavalia Zodok shook her head. Her majesty had been most gracious in instructing the Royal Surveyor to erect such monuments. With great gift, however, comes great responsibility.

Was the notion of bringing the peoples of this realm together at a single table as outrageous as some had claimed? The Queen's instructions were clear though, and Tavalia had long served the crown. Her eyes fell upon the scroll Lord Balandar had left her with, the words stung her pupils with a sobering reality.

A slumbering energy had been awakened in the bowels of the Poseidon's Fury, and now was in the hands of the masses. Would they use this power for good, furthering the interests of the Crown or would they turn to personal gain, greed, and be corrupted by the likes of Scarlet Von Trinsic? These were nay her choices to make however, and Tavalia held faith in the people. Still the scroll made her uneasy.............."

		The 2009 Champions of Captain Bloodrum's Challenge are.....

Lead by our T-Hunter Juliana [DWxC] as always, the 'CUDAS beat out 3 other teams to capture the 2009 Championship. This night the team consisted of Merilona *V*, CharGar F*V, Merlock DWxC and Nanoc DWxC.
Lord Balander then came runnig onto the scene and asked us to follow him once again to help in his quest for the Artifact. Hard battles where faught and won by the group that assembled.
We all where gated to the House of Commons afterwards to report on the event. When we left the HOC, the 'Cudas agreed that we should gather at a tavern to toast our win and the nights other adventures. On the way to the Blue Boar in West Britian I recieved an etheral message from EM Dudley to go to the Dragons Watch town banner. I shouted out to meet at the Dragons Watch Town banner.
Once there we stood in amazement, there was a blue trophy on the banner announcing to all the Championship. Now we all really needed some fun and relaxation and headed to the tavern in Britian. Much food and drink was consummed and everyone in turn stood and toasted whatever came to mind. We talked and drank and ate, laughing and having a great time.
Now it was late and im sure all in attendence thought as I did that we where seeing things.
The Blue Boar staff, suddenly stopped all activity, some dropping things they had in their hands and stood in awe of who was entering the Inn. Queen Dawn walked into the Inn, unescorted, and proceded to congradulate Juliana and her team on their Championship win. She sat at the table and produced a pen and scroll and declaired that she would write a Royal Decree. She took a long time in writing, when she was done she walked to a candelabra and afixed her seal and came over and handed it to Juliana. The decree named Juliana and all other team mates past and present all Royal Treasure Hunters.
We all cheered and thanked Queen Dawn and as always EM Faine Morgan, EM Dudley, EM Vladimere.

		PaxLair 12th Anniversary

PaxLair City was founded on January 19, 1998 in the meadow west of the Compassion Shrine on Felucca. Throughout its history, it served with other player-towns to help communities and people work together. In the old days before Trammel, PaxLair was a vibrant crossroads for good, neutral, and evil. It is blessed by the gods with unique indoor and outdoor features. On November 11, 1998, Lord British himself visited PaxLair City to honor the city's founders. PaxLair is the oldest, continuously running "player-town" on the Chesapeake Shard.

Today, PaxLair is a Statehood of three wonderful cities: PaxLair City, Dragons Watch, and PaxOku. Each city is unique and brings different wonders to the Realm through citizens, allies, and friends. PaxLair is based on tenets of Peace, Neutrality, and Roleplaying.

Locations - Most events are easy to find. If you need help getting to PaxLair City or Dragons Watch, the Tea House in PaxOku has several teleporters.

PaxLair Teahouse in PaxOku, Homare-jima, Tokuno
Directions: From Homare-jima Moongate, go NE to the end of buildings on the road (Monks Crossing).

* 9:20 PM ET - Knowledge Quest Starts
o Host: Tatania Karthina
o Location: Twin Towers, PaxLair City, Felucca (for information)
o This quest runs the entire duration of the Anniversary Week. It is an individual quest that can be started at any time. It will involve following notes and clues to different places, and getting prizes along the way.
o There is no specific "event" at the end of this quest, since can be completed at any time by those on the quest. But, bragging rights will be honored at the Statehood Dinner on January 19th.
* 9:30 PM ET - Archery Tournament (Preliminary #1)
o Host: Se'an Silverfoot (Army of the Dragon, ATD)
o Location: Luna Fairegrounds

o Bring bags full of miscellaneous items, like carrots, wands, christmas cards, etc. One never knows what might be needed in this game!
